Other Announcements:
- The Extension - I will be sending out an email later in the week about our extension night scheduled for next Friday January the 18th. Please be on the look out for that.
- JR. EYCers - Please let me know if you would be interested in attending a super bowl party here at the church on February 3rd beginning at 6pm until half-time. I'm trying to get a head count to see if this is something we want to do.
- Confirmation - Youth confirmation classes will be offered, once again, beginning on Sunday, January 27th from 4—5 pm for those in the 10th grade and above. Working toward the sacramental right of confirmation, these classes will help youth to explore what they do and do not believe and why. We will engage topics in a lively manner striving for a deeper understanding of Christian community and personal Christian identity. Interested in signing up or want more information? Talk to Lauren.
TEAM TRIVIA NIGHT - Please plan on attending and bring your friends!
Date: January 26th
Set-Up: 5:30pm
Trivia Time: 6-9pm
Cost: $8 per person.
Cash Prize for the winning team!
Put together your best and brightest for an evening of team trivia. Each team can be made up of 6-8 contestants and is responsible for providing food for their table.
All proceeds from the evening will go towards the youth mission trip to Washington, D.C.
Diocesan Events:
- New Beginnings (6-8th
grades) February 15-17 at Camp Mikell.
New Beginnings is a weekend especially designed to respond to the
issues, concerns, and needs of teenagers in middle school. It was created to help young people grow
in their love of themselves, of others, and of the Lord Jesus Christ. The cost of the weekend is $100 and the
deadline to apply is February 10. Interested in serving on the New
Beginnings Team? The deadline to
apply is January 27.
- Happpening (10-12th
grades) February 22-24 at Camp Mikell.
Happening is not a new form of spirituality, nor is it another
weekend retreat. It is a personal
encounter with the living Christ, as expressed in the tradition of the
Episcopal Church. Throughout the
weekend, Happeners work and play, sing, share, pray and worship. The cost for the weekend is $100 and the
deadline to apply is February 10th.
For more info or to register for either of these events visit the
youth bulletin board across from the nursery.
