Youth Annoucements - December 4th

SR. EYC Wednesday night (dec. 5^th) will be meeting at 6:15pm for beef pot roast for $5 followed by eyc activities and program from 7-8pm.  Please let me know if you plan on eating dinner. 

Parent’s Night Out THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.  We will be providing a parent’s night out to help raise money for the youth mission trip to Washington, D.C.  If you can work this event please be at the church at 5:30pm on Friday.  The event will run from 6-10pm.    

Youth Sunday is this Sunday December 9^th at the 11:00am service.  We hope you will join us and support the youth of our parish who will be involved in all areas of the service including the sermon.  SUNDAY SCHOOL will still meet at 10am. 

JR. EYC Sunday night (dec. 9^th) will eat dinner and then drive around the local neighborhoods to see all the amazing Christmas lights and then conclude with hot chocolate.  We will meet from 5-7pm.  Please note the time change.

Youth Mission Trip to Washington, D.C. – Just a reminder that there are only a few spots left for the mission trip next summer that will take place from June 16-22^nd.  If you are in high school and haven’t signed up, please consider getting your name on the list soon.  After Christmas, the trip will be available to our middle school youth.  A $100 deposit is due upon registration.

Youth Announcements - November 15th

There will be NO JR. EYC on Sunday Nov. 18^th due to Evensong and potluck Thanksgiving dinner here at the church at 5:30pm.  Please come to that instead!

Mark Your Calendars for these very important dates:

·         Friday December 7^th, we will be having a Parent’s Night Out Fundraiser to help raise money for our youth mission trip to Washington, D.C. next summer.  I will be in need of lots of teenagers to help with this event.

·         Sunday December 9^th we will be having a very special YOUTH SUNDAY.  The confirmation class will be speaking during the sermon time and our youth and children will be involved in all areas of worship.   Please come to this very important service.

·         Saturday December 15^th – SR. EYC LOCK-IN!!

One more note – I have placed a trashcan in the youth hallway for people to place their aluminum cans in.  Please consider saving your cans from home and bringing them to us to help raise money for our youth programs.

Youth Annoucements Oct. 29th

We had a great day working the Lobster Fest on Saturday and the JR. EYC had an awesome time carving pumpkins last night.

This week there will be NO youth confirmation class or SR. EYC due to Halloween on Wednesday.

The JR. EYC will meet from 5-7pm on Sunday evening for a movie night at the church.

We have had a great Fall thus far and had wonderful time at the corn maze in Canton yesterday.

New happenings this Fall at St. Teresa's

School is officially back in session and Labor Day is almost here which means our EYC programs will be back and up running soon!!

Have you seen our newly redesigned youth spaces???? Be sure to drop by and check them out in person!

Sunday School

Sunday School meets every Sunday morning (beginning August 19) for Christian Formation at 10:00am, in between the 9am & 11:00am services.  The high school group (9-12th grades) meets in Rm. E3 and the middle school group (6-8th grades) meets in Rm E4.  In conjunction with the lectionary readings of the day, we will study a variety of topics related to life, faith, doubt, the Bible and Church.

Episcopal Youth Community

Junior EYC is open to all 6^th-8^th graders, both at St. Teresa’s and beyond.  Meetings are every Sunday (beginning Sept. 9) from 5:00-6:30pm in the middle school room (Rm. E4) at St. Teresa’s.  Dinner is included and everyone is invited to come & bring their friends.
Senior EYC is open to all 9th-12th graders, both at St. Teresa’s and beyond.  Meetings are on Wednesday evenings (beginning Sept. 12) and include dinner for $5 at 6:15pm and program from 7-8pm in the high school room (Rm. E3).  Everyone is invited to come & bring their friends.

 

Diocesan Events

The Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta offers a variety of activities for youth including Happening, New Beginnings and JR. and SR. DYC weekends. All offer the opportunity for youth to interact with others from across the diocese, as well as the chance to grow closer to Christ in a fun environment at Camp Mikell. Summer has ARRIVED!!

School's Out and Memorial Day has come and gone....it must be SUMMMER!!

A Few Reminders:

• This coming Sunday (June 3rd) is also our meeting for all youth and parents going on our mission trip this summer to New Orleans.  
• Next Sunday June 10th is our Sr. EYC (9-12th grades) pool party at the Christian's home from 6-9pm. 
• Don't forget "Coffice" hours begin next Tuesday at the Daily Grind from 3-5pm and our Sr. High Faith Formation Group will be back up and running next Wed. night at 7pm at the Sweet Shack Snack on Due West Rd.

Youth Sunday Success!!

We had a great Youth Sunday this past Sunday, May 6th and we also recognized all of our graduating seniors.  Congratulations to all!!

We are still in the process of renovating our 2 youth spaces.  This Sunday evening wear your painting clothes...we will finish painting the last 2 walls in the high school room.  Dinner will be provided. 

We are working the Men's Extension next Friday night May 18th.  Be on the lookout for an email with more details and a food list.

New Orleans Dinner & BINGO Night

Hey everyone,

This Friday night we will have a New Orleans Dinner at 6pm followed by BINGO beginning at 7pm.  If you can help at this event please be at the church by 5:30pm.  All proceeds from this event will go towards our youth mission trip to New Orleans this summer from July 16-22nd.  

This Sunday we are heading to the Kennesaw Mountain Park.  Please be at the church at 3:30pm or you can meet us at the park at 4pm.  We will be going on a hike and just hanging out.  Please bring a snack, water bottle, and wear comfortable shoes.  We will not have dinner.  We should return to the church by 6 or 6:30pm but we will call parents when we leave the park to let you know what time to meet us back at the church.
