Youth Announcements - 4/2/13

Hello!

Thanks to everyone who showed up to help with the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday!!

Hope you all had a blessed and wonderful Easter!  Alleluia!!

The SR. EYC will meet on Wednesday evening.  We will be heading to Yogli Mogli (3600 Dallas Hwy Marietta, GA)  Please bring $5 for that.  Also, if you need a ride from the church I will be leaving here at about 6:45pm.  On the menu for dinner on Wednesday evening at the church is Honey Baked Ham.   

Please note that we will have Sunday School on Sunday morning at 10am but there will be NO JR. EYC on Sunday night due to Spring Break.

Please continue to recycle your aluminum cans.  We now have a bin set up in the church parking lot where you can put your cans ONLY.  No bags allowed…just the cans.

This Sunday we will also be celebrating YOUTH SUNDAY.  Please, if you are in town, make an effort to be at this service in which the youth will be serving in all areas of the worship service.

Youth Announcements - March 18th

Hi everyone! 

  SR. EYC will meet this Wednesday at 7pm.  On the dinner menu is baked potatoes.  Yummy.

Sunday School & JR. EYC will meet at their usual times at 10am and 5pm this week.

Confirmation class  will meet at a special time this week from 3:30-5pm. 

March 23^rd – Church Work Day.  This Saturday, we will meet at the church at 9am to help with the church clean-up to prepare for Easter.  We will break at noon for hamburgers and hotdogs and finish up by 2pm.  Please please consider helping out and remember that you can get community service hours for this.  Let me know if you are planning on attending. 

April 7^th – Youth Sunday.  I am looking for youth to serve as acolytes, readers, chalice bearers, and ushers.  Please let me know if this something you would like to do.

Easter Egg Hunt - March 30th at 10:30am.  The youth will once again be hiding eggs for this annual event.  

Youth Refrigerator is in need of stocking with sodas and water and other snacks.  Please consider picking up a few items if you happen to be at the grocery store this week.

Youth Announcements - March 11th

Hello everyone,

Myself and 6 youth had a great time at the Hunger Walk yesterday!

A few announcements for the week. 

SR. EYC will be meeting on Wednesday night.  On the menu for dinner is chick-fil- a which I know many of you will want me to sign you up for!

Sunday School and JR. EYC will be back up and running on Sunday at 10am and 5:00pm

Don’t forget the Extension is this Friday March 15^th as well as Episcopalooza at St. David’s in Roswell. 

Church Clean-Up Day – On Saturday March 23^rd the youth will be helping with a church wide clean-up day scheduled from 9am-2pm.  We will work from 9-12, break for lunch (hamburgers & hotdogs) and then wrap up by 2pm.  Please please come out and help get the church ready for Easter.  Don’t forget this is a great opportunity for community service hours as well.

Also, mark your calendars for Youth Sundays scheduled on April 7^th & May 5^th.

Youth Announcements - March 7th

Hi all!

• This is a little last minute but Sr. EYC is on for tonight and the on the menu is barbeque at 6:15pm.

• Due to the Hunger Walk this Sunday, there will be NO Sunday School or JR. EYC.  Please join us for the Hunger Walk instead!  We still have room for more youth leaving from the church at 10:30am to head to IHOP (barrett pwky and cobb).  Let me know if you would like to join in. 

• Next Friday March 15th, we will be serving at the Extension.  I will be sending out a more detailed email about it by the end of the week. 

• Episcopalooza!! Join youth from across the diocese on Friday, March 15th for our annual 9th-12th grade lock-in. This year, we’ll be gathering at St. David’s in Roswell! This year’s theme is “Spring Awakening”- a night of renewal, reflection, rebirth, and reconnecting with Christ during the season of Lent. Come join the fun, games, music, and community as we prepare for the miracle of Easter!  The cost of the event is only $30! Don’t regret missing out on this awesome event! Registration is open now at youth.episcopalatlanta.org.  I am co-coordinating this event and would love to have a great presence from St. Teresa's!

Youth Announcements - February 27th

Hi everyone!

Sunday School News:  For the time being, we are going to have to combine our 2 groups until attendance improves.  We have had not had enough youth to split up into our middle school and high school groups for several weeks now.  We will still meet at 10am.  You can find both groups in the high school room.  If our attendance improves, then we will split by up again into our separate age groups. 

EYC News: SR. EYC will meet this week at 7pm.  On the menu for dinner at 6:15pm is lasagna.  yummmmy.  Let me know if you would like me to sign you up for that. 
                 JR. EYC will meet on Sunday at its normal time from 5-6:30pm.  Please come and invite your friends! 
                  Youth Confirmation Class will meet at its regular time at 4pm.  Read chapter 5 in your book!

Hunger Walk: The Hunger Walk is a 5k run/walk that will take place in Atlanta on Sunday March 10th.   A group will be leaving the church at 10:30am and heading to IHOP for breakfast/lunch and then going to the walk.  The walk starts at 2pm and registration starts at noon.  If you would like to carpool with us, please let me know.  We only have room for 8 youth right now unless another volunteer signs up.  We will call parents when we leave Atlanta and are heading back to the church.  If you have a St. Teresa’s t-shirt (red or green) please wear it, walking shoes, your donations envelope (you can pick one up at the church), and money for breakfast.  For more info about the walk visit www.acfb.org

Episcopalooza:  Calling all high school youth!! (9-12th grades).  This year's Episcopalooza event will take place at St. David's Roswell on Friday night March 15-Saturday morning March 16th.  This is a diocesan-wide lock-in for all high school aged youth.  This year's theme is "Spring Awakening" and we will look at the meaning of Lent and the coming Spring and new dawn.  The cost for the event is $30.  I am co-coordinating this event and would love for y'all to attend. 

Washington, D.C. Update:  Don't forget the next payment for our mission trip is due by March 1st.

Youth Announcements - February 21

Hi everyone,

Thank you all so much for a great pancake supper last week!  We raised over $1,000!!!

• SR. EYC will meet tomorrow night.  On the menu for dinner is publix fried chicken.  Please let me know if you want me to sign you up for that.  EYC will meet from 7-8pm.
• Sunday School and JR. EYC will be back to normal this Sunday. 

I am still in need of some people to sign up to feed the JR. EYC group on Sunday evenings.  I still have several Sundays that are available.  Please let me know if this is something you might be interested in doing.

Also, we have run low on soda, water, and snacks for our youth refrigerator area.  If you are at the grocery store and can pick up a couple of things that would be great!
